WILL THE WORLD EVER KNOW TRUE PEACE?

 

Most people would agree that we are living in distressing times.

 

The Holy Bible, although neglected at present certainly has a message of hope for the future beyond the present distress.

 

It does tell us of this time of unprecedented trouble …

“…upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity: (no way out of the dilemma) … Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: …” Luke 21 v 25-26

 

The prophecy of Daniel speaks of a time when two mighty opposing forces clash, noted as the king of the south and king of the north.

“And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.” Daniel 11 v 40.

 

Are we seeing the dawn breaking on this prophecy in view of what is seen in the world at the present time, when there is great fear of World War Three breaking out?

 

Jesus will return to end man’s rule and set up the Kingdom of God and establish peace on earth.
